An article outline that takes you to the right section
You remember the section you need, but it is somewhere halfway down a long article. Open Outline to see the headings Aura found in the text. Choose one and jump to that part of the page.
Read an articleA contents list built from actual headings
Aura reads the heading structure already present in the extracted document. The list follows those headings and their levels. It is not an AI summary, and it does not invent chapter names or decide which passages matter. What you see depends on how the source was structured.
Return to an explanation without searching the whole page
Use the outline to revisit a tutorial step, check a definition or continue at a section break. Selecting a heading scrolls to the corresponding place and closes the outline panel. The full text is still there, ready for you to read around the passage.
A source needs headings to provide an outline
If the extracted text has no headings, there may be no outline to show. A bold sentence is not always a real heading in the source. In that case, use the normal reading view or your browser's find function. This navigation tool requires Pro and does not use an AI request.
Where to find it
- Open a long article with headings using an Aura Pro account.
- Choose Outline in Reading options to see the available sections.
- Select a heading to jump to its place in the reader.
Before you start
Why is my outline empty?
The source may have no heading elements, or extraction may not have preserved them. Aura does not generate missing headings.
Does Outline send the article to AI?
No. This tool reads the heading elements in the article. It is separate from AI summaries.
